Services

Replacement and technical support.

We can check the replacement possibility based on your photos, drawings, part numbers, samples or working conditions.

01

Replacement Review

Compare the available drawing, sample, part number or photos with the required mounting and operating conditions.

02

Custom Manufacturing

Manufacture guide bodies, rollers, wear parts and assemblies after critical dimensions and interfaces are confirmed.

03

Problem Assessment

Review wear, bearing failure, cobbles, surface marks, cooling and alignment information before proposing a solution.

  1. Identify the positionConfirm stand number, entry or exit position, rolled product, pass and mill arrangement.
  2. Verify the interfaceCheck mounting faces, bolt holes, restbar, center height, guide base and adjustment method.
  3. Confirm moving partsCheck roller opening, roller groove, shaft, bearing, seal and lubrication arrangement.
  4. Review the operating problemReview roller wear, bearing failure, cobble, scratches, cooling problems or unstable guiding.

Technical boundary: Photos can support a preliminary review, but final manufacturing approval may require drawings, verified dimensions, samples, pass information and operating conditions. Slitting, twist and high-speed applications require more complete technical data.

Common guide problems and initial checks

These checks are starting points for investigation, not a diagnosis.

Fast roller wear

Check roller contact, groove profile, guide alignment, cooling, scale abrasion, roller material and heat treatment.

Bearing failure

Check contamination, water ingress, shaft and bearing fits, sealing, operating temperature and lubrication.

Cobble near the stand

Check bar approach, guide opening, centerline, pass relationship and delivery direction.

Surface scratches

Check seized rollers, worn inserts, internal scale buildup, incorrect opening and guide alignment.

About Shanghai Saino

Focused on rolling mill guides and replacement parts.

Shanghai Saino Precision Machinery Co., Ltd supplies rolling mill guides, guide rollers and related replacement parts for bar, rebar, wire rod and section mills.

Our working process starts with the actual application. We review the stand position, mounting interface, pass requirements and operating problem before confirming a replacement proposal.

Discuss your application

Before inquiry

Ten practical answers.

Can you check a guide without an original drawing?

A preliminary check may be possible from a measured sample, clear multi-angle photos and verified dimensions. Final production still needs enough information to confirm all critical interfaces.

Is one overall photo enough?

Usually not for a complete guide assembly. Add stand position, mounting-face photos, reference dimensions and the current operating problem.

Can service life be guaranteed from photos?

No. Service life also depends on material, heat treatment, fit, alignment, cooling, lubrication, speed, scale and operating practice.

Can you produce according to an existing guide sample?

Yes, a physical sample can support replacement checking when the original drawing is unavailable. Critical dimensions, mounting interfaces and application conditions still need to be confirmed before manufacturing.

How is lead time estimated?

Lead time is quoted after the guide configuration, quantity, drawing and production scope are confirmed. Ask for a schedule for your specific order.

Can we start with a small trial order based on a sample?

We can review the feasibility of a trial order after checking the sample, critical dimensions and application. Quantity and any minimum order requirement will be confirmed in the quotation.

How are guides packed and shipped?

Packing and shipping arrangements are confirmed for each order based on the product, destination and agreed delivery terms. State any special protection or marking requirements before quotation.

What payment terms do you offer?

Payment terms are confirmed in the quotation or contract for each order. Please ask before placing an order; this website does not state a standard payment term.

Can material or inspection reports be supplied?

Please state which reports, test methods and acceptance criteria you require at the inquiry stage. Availability and scope must be confirmed for the specific order before production.

How is a custom guide confirmed before production?

Send the application, drawing or sample, mounting dimensions and operating conditions. The replacement proposal and critical interfaces must be reviewed and agreed before manufacture.
